Saul Austerlitz is an adjunct professor of writing and comedy history at New York University, and the author of Generation Friends (Dutton, 2019, 22,200+ net), named by Vulture as one of 15 best books about TV comedies, and Just a Shot Away (Thomas Dunne Books, 2018), which the New York Times Book Review called “the most blisteringly impassioned music book of the season." He is a graduate of Yale University (BA in film studies, 2001) and New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts (MA in cinema studies, 2003).
