New York Comic Con 2020: Can’t-Miss Audiobook Panels in the Metaverse

Starting Thursday, October 8th, the famed annual New York Comic Con (NYCC) is teaming up with London’s Movie Comic Media (MCM) Comic Con to create the Metaverse, a virtual realm that is the sum of all fandoms.

NYCC x MCM Comic Con’s Metaverse will run a packed schedule of events online from October 8–11, 2020. Fans can spend time with their favorite stars and authors and view exclusive panels without ever leaving their homes—and Penguin Random House Audio will be a part of the fun!

This year we’re excited to celebrate the highly-anticipated sequel to the worldwide bestseller Ready Player One by Ernest Cline, the “ridiculously fun and large-hearted” (NPR) near-future adventure that inspired the blockbuster Steven Spielberg film. Ready Player Two is out November 24th (and available for preorder now), so tune in to our panel Ready Player Two: A Conversation with Ernest Cline and Wil Wheaton  where #1 New York Times bestselling author Ernest Cline and series narrator Wil Wheaton will kick off the Ready Player Two virtual book tour. This 30 minute panel will take place Friday, October 9 at 10am ET on NYCC’s YouTube channel.

After tuning in to our Ready Player Two panel, join us on Friday, October 9 at 11:30am ET for Twenty Years of Harry Dresden: In Conversation with Jim Butcher and James Marsters, on NYCC’s YouTube channel as we dive into the world of Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden, Chicago’s first (and only) Wizard PI and go behind the scenes of The Dresden Files with bestselling author Jim Butcher and series narrator James Marsters (Buffy the Vampire Slayer).

Mark your calendars now—we can’t wait to see you in the Metaverse!
