The Girl in the Spider’s Web Brings Back Lisbeth Salander and Mikael Blomkvist

In The Girl in the Spider’s Web, Swedish author David Lagercrantz continues Stieg Larsson’s series featuring Lisbeth Salander and Mikael Blomkvist.

Stieg Larsson passed away in 2004. So, like many popular series over the years that have lost their original authors, a new writer has been brought on to continue the popular Millennium series. From USA Today to People Magazine, critics agree that David Lagercrantz, an experienced journalist and author, channels Larsson’s world with aplomb.

The story begins a few years after we left Salander and Blomkvist in The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest. Struggling to remain a relevant investigative journalist, Blomkvist is in desperate need of a scoop. Then, one night, he receives a call that leads him down a dangerous path. That path begins with a bloody murder. The only witness is an autistic boy. Blomkvist recruits Salander to help him with the case, and, from there, the story becomes a tangled, thrilling ride.
